Camshaft Software has released a new preview video of their car tycoon & design game Automation, showing off the newly-added scenarios to the title’s powerful engine designer.

While the full title will allow players to run their own car company all the way from post WWII to modern times, the engine designer will be released as demo of the full title.

The designer comes with plenty of features and an interesting scenario mode as you can see below, the designer is based on quite sophisticated physics as players have to take several engineering aspects into account when building their engine.

Up until now, the game is being designed on a part-time basis as the developers still have regular jobs. To change that, the developers are looking for people interested in funding the project, using the Rockethub.com website that allows users to chip into the funding in exchange for certain perks.

The title will feature a highly detailed car and engine designer, both of which are based on quite sophisticated physics, making this a potentially interesting title for sim racers, even though there will be no actual driving in the title.

The two preview videos below show off the car body designer and the engine designer as we get to watch an engine being put together component by component.

Aside from the building components, the title will feature a realistic & dynamic world market & realistic buyer demographics. The title will put a lot of focus on the technical stuff, less skilled players will be able to use prebuilt designs to get going.
