Eutechnyx, creator of NASCAR The Game: 2011, released the first screenshots of its new online racer, Auto Club Revolution today. Very similar to iRacing, the front end of the game is web based, with the game running via a small downloaded client. Eutechnyx claims the game “delivers console-quality online racing to the free-to-play games market.”
These screenshots are coming ahead of the first closed beta tests, which are scheduled to begin in July 2011. To check out the new screenshots as well as find out where you can register, follow the jump.

Eutechnyx has released a new video trailer of their upcoming NASCAR The Game 2011 title, focusing on the extensive paint booth feature.
The title will give players a mighty set of tools to create their own paint schemes. Even though users are confined to the gamepad as input device, the title’s paint booth will allow players to create complex liveries as up to 1000 layers of paint can be applied.
Developed by Eutechnyx & published by Activision, NASCAR The Game 2011 will include the 2010 & 2011 (post-release download) NASCAR Sprint Cup seasons. Features include a very detailed damage model, career mode & 16-player multiplayer mode. The title will be available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 & Nintendo Wii starting March 29.
Eutechnyx has released a new developer diary video of their upcoming NASCAR The Game 2011 title, highlighting the title’s car setup options.
Furthermore, Eutechnyx’ Dave Thompson has uploaded a new video, showing iRacing NASCAR Champion Richard Towler in action on the title’s Kentucky Speedway. The second video shows off the title’s cockpit mode and answers a question that was raised here on VirtualR on whether or not the title will offer full-blown cockpit view.
Eutechnyx has released six new previews of their NASCAR The Game 2011 title that will bring two seasons of NASCAR Sprint Cup racing to the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii in early 2011.
The screenshots show the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars in action both on ovals and at the Infineon Raceway, one of two road course tracks in the series’ schedule. One screenshot reveals an interesting detail as Eutechnyx is obviously not allowed to use Alcohol-related liveries as the #2 Dodge of Kurt Busch is missing it’s Miller Lite decals.
Given the fact that several NASCAR teams are sponsored by beer or liquor brands, many liveries in the game will have to be altered to a semi-fictional look.

Eutechnyx have released the first NASACR The Game
2011 developer podcast, sharing some insight on the work behind the
studio’s upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup title.
Even though the recording somewhat sounds like it has been made in a
bathroom, the 33-minute podcast is well worth to be checked out as the
guys discuss various topics. It’s revealed that the title will try hard
to include as much NASCAR atmosphere as possible, including the
traditional pre-race festivities and victory lane celebrations after the
race.
Furthermore, the guys talk about their great access to the teams and
drivers, feedback from the sim racing community and iRacing being one of
the reasons why there’s no PC version of the upcoming title.

Following the first video trailer
of their NASCAR The Game 2011 title released two weeks ago, a first
in-game preview of the title’s extensive damage system has surfaced.
Eutechnyx developer Dave Thompson has posted the shot below on
Twitter, showing Tony Stewart’s #14 Chevrolet Impala with a ripped-off
front end after what seems to be a hefty crash.

Following the details released, the first batch of preview screenshots of Eutechnyx’s NASCAR The Game 2011 title are available.
The shots show off some of the promised very in-depth damage model, a
very detailed garage area, NASCAR-style pit stops and quite atmospheric
tracks such as Phoenix International Raceway and Martinsville.

Eutechnyx has finally revealed some official info on their upcoming NASCAR The Game 2011 title as an article on ESPN.com reveals some details as well as a very first preview image.
The article reveals that Eutechnyx has acquired the NASCAR license on
a multi-year basis as Activision will be publishing the title. The game
is set to be released in February 2011 and will include both the 2010
& 2011 Sprint Cup seasons as well as all 32 Sprint Cup tracks
including the Kentucky Speedway that will join the Sprint Cup schedule
for the upcoming season.
Since the 2011 season will barely have kicked off when the title hits
the shelves, the 2011 cars will be available via download shortly after
the release. Announced features include an extensive career mode,
16-player multiplayer races as well as two-player split screen.
The title will put a huge emphasis on its damage model as
fender-benders are a regular aspect of NASCAR racing, Eutechnyx’s
Executive Vice President Ed Martin describes the plans for the damage
physics as follows:
“No one has ever done damage the way that we’ve done damage. I
assure you that when you see this game, we’ve set a whole new standard
for the way damage has been done. It’s not pre-calculated damage, it’s
not just crumpling that we paste onto the car. Everything about our
damage is calculated in our physics model and everything is unique. You
can actually tear the sheet metal and have it hang on and have tears in
the side of your car. If something falls off, you can run over it and
cause damage to other cars.
The damage model is absolutely fantastic. Everybody loves the big
crashes in the game. I want to see the smoke and the cars flying. The
only restriction we had from NASCAR is no part can fly off into the fan
area. Nothing can go beyond the safety fence. But unlike any game I’ve
worked on before, all of these fences are now geometric 3D fences, so if
you get your car up into the catch fence, the fence will move, ripple,
and get damaged. When you see a replay and you see a tire go up into the
catch fence or you see an entire car go up into the catch fence, it’s
interacting with the physics of the game. It looks real.”

be released for Microsoft Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii and
is scheduled to be released in February 2011.
