Kart Racing Pro – Beta 5 Available Now

PiBoSo has released the fifth beta of his Kart Racing Pro simulation, adding some new features and various fixes to the title that is scheduled to leave the beta stage soon.

Most importantly, the new version introduces the new dynamic marble build up feature that was shown off recently.

Kart Racing Pro includes two different kart track and eight racing karts. The beta works in demo mode, a key to unlock the full version is available for 24€.

A paint kit is also available, make sure to try this out if you like karting as the title comes with pretty impressive graphics.

Kart Racing Pro – Beta 4 Coming Up

PiBoSo has released the changelog of the upcoming fourth beta version of his Kart Racing Pro simulator.

After beta 3 added a new kart chassis and lots of improvements, the fourth beta brings plenty of changes as well, including weather conditions and a dynamic track surface.

Changelog

- separate weather and track conditions, with dynamic track surface
- gearbox code revised to have neutral between 1st and 2nd gears.
- paints directory structure revised to make installation a bit easier
- support for multiple track layouts and layout editor
- server option to force a limited number of tires for each event, and possibility to re-fit a used tyre set

- tuned dirt on visor
- limited the number of tearoffs
- shift help is now forced off when a server is set to “No Aids”
- fixed a setup copy bug
- warmup lap cannot be skipped before standing starts
- completed tire pressure simulation
- fixed “track width” setup
- idle throttle setup added
- radiator cover setup added
- added splits in dash

Kart Sim – First Previews & Video

Zach Griffin has released first previews and an impressive video of his Kart Sim simulation that he has been working on for over four years now.

Kart Sim will be accurately simulating the the thrill of driving a racing kart, the starting point of almost every professional racing career. To ensure realism, the title uses an industry standard tire model and a real-time FEM model to simulate the flex of the chassis.

The title is based on the Unity engine that is paired up with a scratch-made physics engine developed by Zach. The title is planned to be released in Q1 2012, a demo and a public beta will be coming up as well. Below is the first preview video, showing off a lap around Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club in an Arrow 28/30 chassis with a 17hp KT100s engine.

Kart Racing Pro – Two Preview Videos

PiBoSo, creator of simulation games like GPBikes and World Racing Series, is currently working on a new title – Kart Racing Pro.

After focusing on bigger racing machinery, the new title aims to recreate a motorsport discipline that almost all race driver careers start with. You can check out two preview videos below, showing both the cockpit view and some racing action.
