Located on the Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, England, the track is arguably the most famous airfield in the automotive world as it’s regularly featured in BBC’s Top Gear programme to evaluate both cars and drivers.

The scratch-made track will come with seven different layouts, including the one used in the TV-show.

The French F1 Ligue team has released a new preview video of their F1 2012 mod for rFactor 2, showing first in-game footage of their work.

The video shows a test run of the Mercedes Grand Prix W03 at Sepang.

The mod will include all cars and drivers of the upcoming F1 2012 season. The 2012 generation of Formula One cars will feature a very distinctive nose design on most cars, creating some of the oddest looking F1 cars in recent years.

The graphical quality of rFactor 2 and whether the title is a significant step up in the graphics department has been much discussed in the sim community ever since the first previews have been released.

If you haven’t made up the mind on this issue yet, now’s the time as NeedRacing have put together an interesting comparison video.

The video shows the Renault Megane at Joesville Speedway, both in rFactor & rFactor 2, two simulations that are almost six and a half years apart in terms of initial release.

• There will be no demo before the release

The guys over at InsideSimRacing.tv have gotten their hands on a brand new video trailer of Image Space Incorporated’s upcoming rFactor 2 simulation.

The well-made trailer shows an action-packed classical Formula One race on the historic streets of Monte Carlo, giving us a first taste of what to expect of the upcoming title and its stock-content.

Image Space Incorporated has released two brand new preview video, showing off some new tire features of their upcoming rFactor 2 simulation.

The first video shows the tire wear and flatspotting in action, the tire wear has been increased by 100x to show off the effect of a 100 lap run in one single lap.

Also visible are the tire temperature readouts at the top left of the video. The second videos shows the tire deformations as the car goes over the curbs and moves around on the track.
