The VisionRacer VR3 is a polished stainless steel, driving simulator chassis system. It uses a Logitech steering wheel, pedals, gear lever and 5:1 audio system. Used along with PS3 (or PC) and LCD Screen the VR3 becomes a realistic driving simulator. Every VR3 has an individual serial number plate and a complimentary years membership to our community.

What other products are you developing?

We are developing a range of merchandise and accessories such as vibration systems, handbrake and drinks holder.

If you use a DUALSHOCK or a SIXAXIS controller it’s a completely different experience to an ergonomically positioned steering wheel and race seat. VR3 looks simple but that’s the magic. It simply brings your existing gaming experience to life.

What other equipment do I need to use the VisionRacer VR3?

A PlayStation 3 console or a gaming style PC.  Software titles such as Gran Turismo or rFactor make the Logitech G25 or Driving Force GT steering wheel and pedals come alive with force feedback. (The VR3 will work with the Logitech Driving Force Pro and PS2 also.)  For the best results use HD 1080p (high definition) visuals, either TV or monitor.

The VisionRacer is compatible with both PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 systems.

You can use an existing TV from any of the leading manufacturers or a good PC / Mac monitor. We recommend that the response time be less than 5ms.  When using the VR LCD Stand we suggest a screen up to 26’’ and less than 10kg in weight.  We find 24’’ PC monitors work well. Larger is not always better in this case. The diagonal measurement of the screen should be around 3 times the viewing distance to the eyes, hence 19” to 26” works best. When using the VR Home Theatre System, the bigger the screen the better the better the experience.

What Driving Titles can I use on the VisionRacer?

Any PlayStation 3 driving title that supports a wheel and pedals, such as Gran Turismo 5 Prologue , Colin McRae Rally, Sega Rally and F1 Championship Edition. We recommend rFactor, Sega Rally and iRacing for the PC. (We are still researching this area and recommendations are most welcome.)  Later this year we will see the release of long awaited and exciting titles like Gran Turismo 5 with the ‘The Top Gear Track’ and ‘The Green Hell’ - Nurburgring Nordschleife. (137 bends to navigate in less than 10 minutes.)

What about Xbox®?

We don’t support Xbox® at this point. We have not yet found a wheel and pedal set which provides full force feedback and can be mounted easily and elegantly.


What is the ultimate setup?

The ultimate setup is; a completely dedicated dark room, with two plus VR3 units, dual HD projectors onto large glass screens, a multi-channel surround sound system with balanced speakers and a mate to race against. (And of course a well stocked fridge.)

How do I game online against other VisionRacer members?

We will be instituting our own PC Server for rFactor multi-player racing.  On the PS3 you can LAN play F1 CE and Colin McRae DIRT.

I don't want to buy online – Is the VisionRacer available at retail stores?

Over the course of 2009 the retail presence of VisionRacer will increase. We will also be attending certain events/trade shows, which may be in your area. Join our mailing list and you will receive details as to where and when these are.

What is the ETA of my VisionRacer VR3 once ordered?

Shipped in 7-14 days once payment is confirmed. Your order will be processed and you will be e-mailed a receipt and delivery details. We deliver anywhere in the world via courier or sea freight. Contact us for shipping rates and times. Express delivery has an additional cost. 

How long will it take for me to assemble my VisionRacer?

A VR3 Tool Kit is supplied. Imagine you’re building your new race car and enjoy the hour or so it takes.  In some locations we do offer an in-home build service.  You can have one of our installers do it for you and why not book up 30 minutes of training.  Learn how easy VR3 is to use and get some driving hints and tips.


What is the VisionRacer Returns Policy?

Our Returns Policy is simple. If within the first thirty (30) days of receiving the product you are unhappy with the  VR3's performance 'not your performance', we will give you a refund when the goods are returned to us in their original packaging.  If a VR3 part breaks we will replace it when you have returned it to us or in some instances a picture of the fault which satisfies us the damage was not due to driver abuse.
